Why heavier things don't fall faster

You were told a coin drops faster than paper. Only half true.

Drop a hammer and a feather in a vacuum and they land at the exact same instant — mass doesn’t change how fast things fall.
vacuum — no air both land at the same instant
Remove the air and the feather can't be slowed — hammer and feather accelerate identically and hit the ground together.
